Proctoring Consent Policy

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

Purpose

This Proctoring Consent Policy explains the monitoring that may occur during Bifalabs assessments. Proctoring is used to protect assessment integrity, reduce impersonation and cheating risk, provide employers with reviewable context, and help candidates demonstrate readiness in a controlled environment.

Monitoring Methods

Depending on the assessment settings, Bifalabs may request access to a candidate webcam, microphone, screen, browser state, keyboard activity metadata, mouse activity metadata, clipboard event signals, network status, identity verification images, and environmental snapshots. The platform may also record warnings, acknowledgments, timing information, session interruptions, and system check results.

Candidate Consent

Before a proctored session begins, candidates are shown a clear notice describing what will be monitored, why it will be monitored, who may access the data, how long it may be retained, and how to request help or accommodations. Candidates who do not consent may be unable to proceed with a proctored assessment, but the inviting organization should determine whether an alternative assessment process is available.

Integrity Flags

Bifalabs may generate warnings, flags, session timelines, integrity scores, or review summaries based on proctoring signals. A flag does not automatically prove misconduct. It means the session may require further review by authorized personnel. Employers should evaluate flags in context and provide candidates with appropriate opportunities to explain technical issues or legitimate behavior where required by law or policy.

Technical Issues

Candidates are responsible for using a compatible device, stable internet connection, working camera and microphone where required, and a suitable test environment. Technical interruptions may affect assessment completion, but they should be reviewed separately from intentional misconduct when appropriate.

Access and Retention

Access to proctoring data is limited to authorized Bifalabs personnel, the inviting customer, and approved service providers with a legitimate need. Recordings and logs are retained only for the time needed for review, dispute handling, security, legal compliance, and customer configuration.

Accommodations

Candidates who need accommodations due to disability, assistive technology, privacy limitations, or other legitimate reasons should contact the inviting organization or Bifalabs support before the assessment where possible.
